1) What are the minimum quantities per order?
Our on line products page has information regarding case and pallet quantities.
2) What payments terms are accepted?: After credit terms are established, terms are net 15 days from date of shipment. Alternately, we take Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover with secured transactions. If you would prefer
to call us, please do so at 877-4AK-WILD (877-425-9453).
3) What is typical delivery time?
Depending on the product, shipment could be from stock (shelf stable produucts - pouches and jars, or, "fresh smoked" prodcuts are available by season. Fresh smoked specialties are normally available from stock to 2 - 3 weeks from April through November.
4) What are your shipping methods from Alaska?
We ship case quantities of shelf stable salmon and halibut products via UPS, FedEx Ground, or as requested. Our specialty frozen "Fresh Smoked" salmon and halibut ship via "overnight air" only. Pallet quantities are normaly "airport to airport" with the buyer arranging pickup from the receiving airport. We can, however, accommodate kost requests. Case quantities of "Fresh Smoked" products are usually "door to door."
5) How do you ship?
We ship via ground or airfreight with FedEx, UPS and USPS at the rate most cost effective for you. The option for ground or air is on our ordering
page. If you have a special preference, please
let us know and we will make it happen. "Fresh Smoked" Salmon, which is frozen,
ships only via overnight delivery.
6) How do you keep frozen products frozen?
We ship in insulated packaging with frozen gel
packs or dry ice to keep the products frozen until they arrive.
Again, all frozen products are shipped air or
for next day delivery.
7) What are the normal shipping charges?
Average costs are about $4.50 for the 5-pack specialty
pouches. Airfreight delivery for frozen products
varies by weight and special delivery requests

Ground-shipping
is free for all
"shelf-stable" products; please note
all “Fresh Smoked” and
fresh salmon (frozen) fillets require
overnight-air shipping.

7) What if I my order is ruined or damaged during
shipping?
This is extremely rare, but Kodiak Island Specialty
Seafoods will immediately replace your order at
no charge, and we will handle the issue with the
freight company.
8) What if I am dissatisfied with my purchase?
Call us immediately! We make every effort to
assure your seafood is perfect as presented, but
tastes differ and we want to be your long term
specialty seafood source. Let us know your concern,
and we will make sure you are satisfied with your
purchase. If you'd like a product to be a little
different, we'll start working on it. If your
order is ruined due to heat or handling, return
it to us within 7 days of receipt and we'll replace
it free, and with a free sample of a new or different
product from Kodiak Island Specialty Seafoods. |
